Jablonski Building Conservation, Inc.
was formed in 1995 to provide a wide range of services. Our varied
client base includes architects, engineers, agencies, cultural institutions,
religious properties, contractors, and private homeowners. Jablonski Building currently employs seven full-time conservators. All principals
and employees of Jablonski Building have attended graduate programs
in Historic Preservation.
Mary Jablonski, Principal / Conservator, has a Master's Degree in
Historic Preservation from Columbia University's Historic Preservation
Program. For five years Mary worked at a structural engineering
firm that specialized in the restoration of historic structures.
The focus of her current work includes: historic structure reports;
historic material investigations; compliance with landmarks regulations;
development of technical treatment specifications. Mary has
special interests in finishes and modern materials. Ms. Jablonski
is a Professional Associate in the American Institute for Conservation
of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC).
She is
a past Chair of the Architecture Specialty of Group of the AIC.
Mary currently sits on the board of APTNE and serves as an ex-officio
Board Member of US ICOMOS.
Stephanie Hoagland-Bond, Senior Associate / Conservator, has a Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University’s Historic Preservation Program. Stephanie has been with JBC for over five years and has experience in conducting historic research, the completion of Historic Structure Reports and Section 106 Reports, historic material investigation, conditions assessments and compliance with landmarks regulation. Special interests include vernacular and post-war architecture. Ms. Hoagland-Bond is a Professional Associate in the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works.
Helen M. Thomas-Haney, Associate / Conservator, has a Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation from Colombia University’s Historic Preservation Program. Helen has more than 7 years of experience as an architectural conservator, and has been with Jablonski Building Conservation for 3 years. Her responsibilities include: conducting conditions surveys and field inspections, sampling and laboratory testing and analysis of mortars, materials and finishes; and replication of mortars, cast-stone and concrete. Special interests include masonry testing. Ms. Thomas-Haney is a Professional Associate in the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works.
